Representative Cases:
Jensen v. City of Wilmington, et al. Argued on behalf of appellee before the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Court of Appeals affirmed judgment of dismissal. Defended municipality in lawsuit alleging "class of one" equal protection claim. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois entered judgment of dismissal against the plaintiffs pursuant to Fed. R. Civ. P. 37.
National Insurance Crime Bureau, et al v. Daniels, et al. Represented not-for-profit corporation in federal declaratory judgment action seeking injunctive relief. Presented argument at hearing on motion for preliminary injunction. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana granted preliminary injunction.
Reipsa v. Trump Indiana, Inc., et al. Represented corporation in action filed in Illinois state court alleging negligence and dram shop liability based on injuries allegedly incurred during a purported fist fight on its premises in Indiana. Circuit Court of Cook County granted motion to dismiss for lack of personal jurisdiction.
Irving v. City of Elkhart, et al. Represented city accused of discrimination and retaliation. The Court entered summary judgment for the defendant finding no adverse job action, inter alia.
Neddef v. Northern Indiana Commuter Transportation District, et al. Defended transportation district and its officer in lawsuit alleging false arrest and other claims. Superior Court of Lake County, Indiana granted summary judgment for defendants.
Sim v. Worstell Construction, Inc. Represented construction company in American Arbitration Association private arbitration proceedings with respect to claim brought by homeowners alleging breach of warranty. Arbitrator awarded homeowners a de minimus award of one thousand dollars.
