Chicago Legal Clinic, Inc.

The Chicago Legal Clinic has evolved from a small neighborhood office to a keystone provider of legal services to the working poor and disadvantaged in the Chicago area. CLC offices are in South Chicago, Pilsen, Austin and downtown Chicago.

CLC provides direct legal counseling and high quality representation at low cost or pro bono and free educational seminars on legal topics. The Clinic has served over 225,000 clients since its inception in 1981. These clients are served through accessible neighborhood offices and through programs designed to help those who are least able to find a private attorney.

Associate Mary J. Bortscheller has volunteered with the Clinic’s Foreclosure Defense Project to assist pro se litigants with motions, responses and other legal documents.
