Monmouth College
|
Monmouth College is a four-year liberal arts institution founded in 1853 by pioneering Presbyterians. Today the college is home to a culturally and religious diverse community of 1300 students. As both observers and participants in today’s global society, the College seeks to deepen an understanding and appreciation of the creative tension that exists among the principles of democracy, pluralism, equality and freedom in our nation and beyond. The College helps prepare students to explore multiple perspectives on the human condition and prepare themselves for rich personal and professional lives—for leadership, citizenship and service in a global context. Since 2002, partner Bradley C. Nahrstadt has served on the Monmouth College Board of Trustees, which is comprised of 33 trustees and nine charter trustees. It is the governing body for the institution and is responsible for setting policies and procedures, determining fees and costs, and providing guidance to the executive officers of the college. From 2002 to 2007, Mr. Nahrstadt was a member of the College Relations and Development Committee and helped to strengthen the college’s development program. Since 2008, he has been an active member of the Student Affairs Committee and has provided valuable counsel to the dean of students on a variety of personnel and legal issues. He also has served as a member of the Mission Statement Task Force and the Strategic Planning Committee, for which he was instrumental in revising the college’s mission statement and developing a long-term strategic plan for the institution. |
