In this article, Mr. Fieweger discusses some of the civil enforcement mechanisms -- including actions under consumer fraud laws as well as False Claims statutes -- that Attorneys General and other enforcement officers have used and may use in addressing concerns raised by the expansion in foreclosure actions prevalent in the fourth quarter of 2010.
