Biography:
Jordan Shea focuses his practice on complex commercial litigation, business disputes, labor and employment actions, products liability, and class actions. He began his career with Williams Montgomery & John as a summer associate during law school. After graduating from Loyola University Chicago, Mr. Shea joined the firm full time. He remains active in the Loyola community, volunteering judging Loyola's moot court teams. Mr. Shea has had primary responsibility for achieving settlements, dismissals, and grants of summary judgment in both state and federal court. Mr. Shea also works under the supervision of experienced partners in complex matters.

Representative Cases:
Mayden v. Superior Air-Ground Ambulance Service, U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana (2009). Represented defendant in suit alleging violations of Equal Pay Act and illegal sex discrimination under Title VII. Obtained defense verdict on all claims in jury trial. Partial grant of summary judgment opinion published at 647 F.Supp.2d 1014 (N.D. Ind. 2009).
Del Monte v. Kim Kinnavy v. Chiquita Brands International, U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois (2010). Represented former employee sued by Del Monte for breach of restrictive covenant. Successfully brought third-party claim for indemnification and advancement of litigation expenses against subsequent employer, Chiquita. Partial grant of summary judgment opinion published at 616 F.Supp.2d 805 (N.D. Ill. 2009).
Swan v. Lycoming Engines, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri (2010). Represented manufacturer of airplane engine in Wrongful Death products liability action arising out of crash killing four occupants of a small aircraft. Settled favorably on the eve of trial.
Groff v. Dempsey, U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois (2009). Won summary judgment on behalf of defendant in breach of partnership agreement action. Plaintiff claimed over $10 million damages for interest in real estate partnership.
RPh on the Go USA, Inc. v. Cristancho, et al., Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois (2009). Represented seven individual defendants in temporary restraining order action who were alleged to have violated covenants not to compete contained in employment agreements. Settled favorably.
Loos v. Veteran's Messenger Service, Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois (2009)l Represented warehouse owner in case involving traumatic brain injury after plaintiff attempted to repair fire suppression sprinkler. Settled favorably on the eve of trial.
Wall v. Berman Industries, Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois (2008). Represented former executive plaintiff in action against his former employer after being wrongfully terminated months from the date his stock appreciation rights package was to vest. Obtained favorable settlement during trial.
Bucholz v. Superior Air-Ground Ambulance Service, Circuit Court of DuPage County, Illinois (2008). Represented defendant ambulance company in wrongful death action related to transport of heart attack victim. Settled on eve of trial.
Mason v. Medline Industries, et al., U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois (pending). Representing relator plaintiff bringing claims on behalf of the United States government under the False Claims Act, involving allegations of Medicare and Medicaid fraud.
Whirlpool Corp. and Maytag Corp. v. Texas Instruments, et al., Circuit Court of Cook County, Illinois (pending). Representing plaintiff appliance manufacturers in action against manufacturer of defective component parts involving millions of defective units.
