Biography:
Jordon Steinway's practice is focused primarily in commercial litigation. He represents both plaintiffs and defendants in all types of commercial and business disputes including those involving breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty and other business torts. He also handles mechanics lien claims and other real estate and construction-related matters. Jordon has substantial experience in all stages of litigation, most recently having prepared a complex products liability action for trial. He also has been successful in drafting and arguing dispositive motions, deposing key fact witnesses and negotiating favorable settlements for his clients.

Representative Cases:
Yellow Book USA, Inc. v. Accurate Interiors II, Inc., Cook County, IL. Acted as lead defense counsel for a Chicago-based kitchen and bath company in a breach of contract action that resulted in judgment at trial for the Defendant.
Richard Jurczak v. Bravo Restaurants, Inc., 05-3760 (Ill.App. 1st Dist.). Served as lead counsel in a successful appeal to the First District Appellate Court in Illinois in which the Court reversed a judgment entered against a large restaurant licensor. The appeal was premised upon the Appellee’s failure to comply with various Illinois procedural and discovery rules and the trial court’s alleged abuse of discretion in allowing Appellee to proceed accordingly.
GMS Plumbing, Inc. v. G&B Family Construction, et al., Cook County, IL. Successfully defended an action asserting a litany of mechanics liens against a residential home owner, having all liens dismissed as against the subject property and later obtaining a judgment against the general contractor.
