June 2012

On June 19, 2012, Alyssa Reiter was elected to serve on the Board of Directors of the Illinois Appellate Lawyers Association.  Founded in 1968, the Appellate Lawyers Association is an association of lawyers who practice in the courts of review and the judges who serve on those courts.  The ALA is comprised of over 400 members.  The ALA is an extremely active association, which holds monthly CLE luncheons, seminars, moot court competitions, and judicial receptions.  The ALA also has eight committees, including the Rules Committee, which Ms. Reiter co-chairs.  There are four officers and eight directors. A director serves a one-year term, where she attends monthly meetings, helps conceive and plan ALA events, and votes on matters involving the association.
