David Applegate Moderated This Year's Patentability Panel at the Law Bulletin Seminars' Annual Corporate Intellectual Property Law Conference

David Applegate, chair of the Intellectual Property Practice Group at Williams Montgomery & John Ltd., moderated this year's Patentability Panel at the Law Bulletin Seminars' Annual Corporate Intellectual Property Law Conference on February 8th at the Hilton Chicago, 720 S. Michigan Avenue.  Joining him on the panel was Judge Holderman of the Northern District of Illinois, Shannon Mrksich of Brinks Hofer Gilson & Lione, Bob Surrette of McAndrews Held & Malloy, and Paul Rodriguez of RR Donnelley.  Among the topics that were covered were inequitable conduct (Therasense), invalidity analysis (Microsoft v. i4i), patent mismarking and the Federal Circuit's recent patentability decision in Prometheus.   Click here to view a copy of Mr. Applegate's paper from the written materials.
