Lloyd E. Williams, Jr. Receives 2011 Class of Distinguished Counselors Award

Lloyd E. Williams, Jr. received a 2011 Class of Distinguished Counselors award from the Illinois State Bar Association on December 7.  The ISBA since 1940 has conferred the title of “Distinguished Counselor” on members who have been admitted to the bar for a period of fifty years or more.  John G. Locallo, president of the Illinois State Bar Association, presented the award to Mr. Williams at the Class of 1961 Recognition Ceremony.

At the first ceremony, Charles O. Rundall, then president of the Illinois State Bar Association remarked “we feel that is our personal privilege, as members of the Illinois State Bar Association, thus to show our respect, our admiration, and our genuine affection for those whose lives are living examples of the highest ideals of professional service.  For it is only through the honor and recognition that we give to living men of the law who measure up to those ideals that we can impress upon the lawyers of tomorrow the vital need for courage, integrity, industry, sympathetic understanding and unceasing fidelity to the duties incumbent upon those who administer law and justice.”
