How to Comply with Illinois Unfair Claims Practices Act

In Illinois, insurance is heavily regulated. The Illinois Insurance Code regulates the manner in which insurance companies must handle claims, among other things. Portions of the code deal specifically with those activities that are deemed to be “unfair claims practices”. This one-hour program is designed to highlight the various provisions of the Illinois Unfair Claims Practices Act and to provide insurance companies and their claims representatives with concrete advice on how to comply with the Act.
